Castleton Cup Schedule

All team captains have been emailed this schedule. With the following message from Icemaker Jeff.

Thank you everyone for participating in this year’s pond hockey tournament. This tournament is a fundraising tournament, raising funds to assist in allowing everyone access to the rinks at any time day or night free of charge. Money raised helps keep the heat on and lights working.

We have 29 teams registered. Odd numbers in age groups means that one team may be playing 4 games to balance an age group and the schedule.   We have tried our best to create a schedule that doesn’t have teams waiting too long for their next game. It wasn’t easy! The overage group has 13 teams which means the waiting time is a bit longer between games in that division.

A few things to note:

1) If you have not paid for your team you need to submit that ASAP. If you have not paid in full by your schedule ice time you will not be allowed to play

2) The canteen will be open, serving a limited menu. Cash, debit or credit card accepted.

3) On site skate sharpening is available from Flying V Mobile Skate Sharpening throughout the day. $7 sharpening during tournament.

4) Keeping the schedule on time is extremely important. The tournament begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. When it’s your time to start, its start time, we are not waiting. When the game ends, the next game begins.

Stay off the ice when the resurfacer is on the ice. The ice resurfacer will be moving around from surface to surface. Be alert and do not block access areas at any time. If you see the machine heading towards you, move.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. Questions must be directed to Jeff at jeff@amherstgroup.ca

Enjoy the day and have fun.

Jeff

After many years of use (note the dent) the cup needed a refresh.
