Thank you to all who made the Youth dance and the Children’s party such a success. The volunteers we have continue to be the backbone of our organization. We do need to call on you again however. Bingos continue to be a large portion of operating dollars but each bingo requires up to 4 volunteers. Kevin requires possibly 3 volunteers for Bingo on Wednesday November 22nd that starts at 7 pm. This year we will host a youth dance for grades 5 -8 instead of an adult Halloween dance on Saturday Oct 28. We are looking for a few student volunteers and adult supervisors to help out. Our annual Children’s Halloween party will be held on Tuesday, Oct 31, bring your little ghosts and goblins to the town hall.
Volunteers are needed for bingo on September 27th from 5:15pm to 9:15pm. If there is anyone over 18 that is interested or available the support would be greatly appreciated. The annual Terry Fox run/walk is set for Sunday Sept 17. Registration at the fields will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the run scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.

8:00 Great Canadian Review and improv comedy with Stephanie Hererra combined with live Canadian classic music featuring our own Cindy Matthews on lead vocals. This family friendly event is admission by donation.
Dusk (approx 9:15) the day ends with a fireworks display by Doug & Cheryl Stewart of Doug’s Small Engines
Canada 150 celebrations are nearly here. We are in need of a few volunteers to help throughout the afternoon and evening in a variety of ways. Please let Kevin know if you can help asap. The schedule of events at the fields are BBQ – 12-4, Ball tournament 12-4, Ukulele Presentation 3:30, Car rally finish 4:45; Presentations for baseball tournament and car rally 5:00, Improv and review 7:30- 8:30, Closing ceremonies 8:30 and fireworks at dusk. All times are approximate but we will try to keep as close as possible to the schedule. Volunteers are needed for upcoming bingos. Bingos support all activities the Sports Club run. The Club is not supported by the municipality and all programs and work are undertaken by a dedicated group of volunteers.

We are in need of 2 part time canteen workers. The position will require food handling, cash management and cleaning. Applicants must be 16 years of age who are willing and able to work independently. The position is minimum wage and applicants must be available evenings and a few Saturdays through the summer. The last night for volleyball will be tomorrow at the NHPS, April 25. Yoga has 3 more sessions left, with the final class for this session being May 15. Drop in fee of $10 at the Castleton Town Hall.
