At our meeting last night our long-time minor ball co-coordinator announced he has decided to step down. If we are to run a minor ball program this year, we need a new co-coordinator. The program can be either softball or hardball, noting that our fields are set up for softball. IF the new co-coordinator chooses to take the hardball route, Bantam age players and up will have to use another field to host games in the past this has been in Cobourg. Please contact a member of the Sports Club Executive if you are interested.
Jeff and Stacy braved the bitter cold this weekend and finished creating a 2nd ice surface. We ask that hockey be played on the rink with the lights and the ball diamond rink be used by recreational and young skaters. Please share the surfaces with all users and either take trash with you or put it in the garbage bins. Weather is looking great leading up to our first scheduled Pond Hockey tournament on Fri. Feb 1 (PD for KPRDSB). Contact Jeff for details.
Apologies to all but this year has been a challenge for everyone involved with minor sports. The start of soccer was was delayed due to issues in other centres but all age groups should begin this week. We are in desperate need of a couple of U6 coaches. The volunteer we had doesn’t feel comfortable being the coach but is willing to help. Contact us ASAP if you can help
There is still a need for players in all age groups of soccer and baseball. There will be no multi-child discount with this option, the price on the form is the price you pay per child. Our treasurer’s email address is treasurer.CSCInc@gmail.com. This e-transfer is a direct deposit to our account; no password required. If you have any questions regarding minor baseball please contact email@example.com or soccer…
The next registration date for minor sports in Castleton is to be held Sat. March 24 at the Castleton Town Hall from 10-12. It is important to get your child/children registered at this event as soccer teams must be submitted to their governing bodies by April 6. If we don’t have enough players registered we cannot guarantee all teams will run. Print your forms from HERE to save you a bit of time. Please also consider signing up to coach a team. Our teams all benefit when parents are involved.
